It will install as a .dmg

as you see below:

Agree to the terms to continue.

Then it will prompt you for the installation type in the drop down menu if it hasn't been selected yet choose
"Easy Install" and then click the Install button to continue as you see below:

Once the installation is finished it will ask you to Finish Up. Unless you want to perform additional installations
here click "Continue" but for this tutorial we just need the drivers installed so we click Quit to move on

Now the Dell drivers have been sucessfully installed, now we need to set up the printer.
INSTALLING THE PRINTER
Choose the System Preferences you can usually find on the Dock Menu on the bottom, if its not located in that
area Choose "Finder - Preferences".
Select "Print & Fax" from the menu. If you don't see Print and Fax click the Show All button and that should
solve the problem.

Now that we have selected Print & Fax and opened the application we see this menu below:
Click the "+" to add a printer (refer to the image below to find the + button).

The Printer Browser will then display with the Default Browser selected. Please click the
IP Printer option in the menu. As well make sure in the Protocol drop down menu that
"Line Printer Daemon - LPD" is selected.

Next we want to type in this specific printers name. The printer that we are trying to connect
to is named "genepubprint6" so in the Address: line we type "genepubprint6.gene.cwru.edu"
it should say Valid and complete address. If it doesn't you must have typed it wrong.
Make sure it looks like it does below:
After you type in the address it will automatically fill in the Name: section and under the
"Print Using" line it should be auto select. Change this drop down to choose "Dell" from
the menu. It should be there if the installation from above worked correctly.

After selecting dell from the "Print Using" drop down it should display the option
for choosing the printer model. Choose the printer that is listed in this image and click
"Add".

The Printer Browser will then give you installable Options make sure each drop
down menu looks the same as the image below and click "Continue":

And that's it the printer is now installed and ready for use!
